Shintaro's visit to Hong Kong (2002/2003)
After some hassle over a visum, we were able to travel across the border and into China.
We had an infinitely luxureous hotel-room to our disposal in Shaoguan as, just like everything in China, hotels are extremely cheap there.
Cheap for western standards, that is. For a large part of the Chinese population lives in poverty.
During our stay in Shaoguan we went for a walk through some nearby mountains.
The views were, quite simply, breathtaking.
